Pricing Guide
Why Milk Prices in Lahore
Change Every Day.
Short answer: fresh milk is sold in a daily market, not at a fixed shelf price. Feed, weather, transport and supply move the rate — which is why we confirm today's price on WhatsApp before every delivery instead of printing a number that goes stale.
The short answer: milk is a daily market
Fresh milk in Lahore is less a product with a price than a market with a rate. It moves with feed, weather, fuel and daily supply. A seller can print a number on a banner, but within days that number is either wrong or quietly ignored. We take a different route: the day's rate is confirmed on WhatsApp before delivery, so you agree to a price before any milk leaves the farm. That single habit removes most of the suspicion around milk pricing.
This is not a gimmick. It is how a perishable product produced twice a day by living animals has to be sold honestly. Our milk guides explain the same principle in other areas of the kitchen, and this page covers the money side.
What actually moves the price
Six things decide what a litre of fresh milk costs on any given morning. None of them consult your household budget before they move.
1. Feed and fodder
Cows eat every day, and green fodder, dry fodder and silage all change price with the season. On our farm we grow and store our own silage — the "From Our Soil to Your Sip" promise — which softens those swings but does not erase them. Feed is the single biggest input behind any milk rate.
2. Weather and season
Heat reduces how much milk a cow gives and can affect her appetite; winter changes production again. Rain and flooding affect fodder supply and movement on the roads. A hot spell in Lahore is felt in the milk rate within days.
3. Supply from milking animals
A farm cannot turn production up like a tap. Cows calve on their own schedule, and the number of animals in milk sets how much is available. When supply is tight across the city, the going rate rises.
4. Demand pulses
Ramzan changes buying patterns, wedding season pushes demand for dahi, kheer and malai, and winter chai keeps the pan busy. Short, predictable demand spikes move the daily rate — and then they pass.
5. Transport and fuel
Every litre is delivered fresh, usually within hours of milking. Fuel, vehicle maintenance and the labour behind a 6 AM route are real costs that change over time.
6. Area and route density
A delivery route in Wapda Town is not the same distance or density as one in Johar Town. Slightly different rates between areas are normal, and it is fair to ask why your area's rate is what it is.
Why a daily confirmed rate beats a fixed promise
A fixed price sounds reassuring, but it usually hides something. Either the seller builds in a cushion for the worst case — and you overpay on ordinary days — or costs rise and quality quietly slips to protect the margin. Both are ways of making the price stable and the milk less trustworthy.
Daily confirmation flips the arrangement. You see the rate, ask questions if you want, and decide before the milk is poured. If the number does not suit you that day, you can reduce your quantity or skip without awkwardness. You are never locked into a figure set weeks ago, and we are never tempted to dilute a litre to protect a stale promise.
What a fair rate should include
When you compare rates around Lahore, compare what is actually inside them. A fair fresh-milk rate includes an animal fed on known feed rather than whatever was cheapest that week, milk chilled quickly after milking, a morning delivery that reaches you cold, and an honest litre — no water, no starch, no detergent.
That is the standard we hold ourselves to: Dutch cows on our own farm in Wapda Town, our own silage, daily delivery between 6 AM and 10 PM, and the day's rate confirmed before dispatch. You can see the rest of the operation on the farm page and in how it's made.
How to budget without surprises
You cannot freeze the market, but you can remove surprises from your monthly milk spend. These six habits do most of the work.

FAQ
Common questions
Because the market doesn't stay fixed. Feed, transport and daily supply change the going rate, so we confirm today's price on WhatsApp before every delivery instead of advertising a figure that may be wrong by evening.
You get today's rate when you place or confirm your order on WhatsApp. Nothing is delivered at a price you have not seen.
Weekly plans fix your quantity and routine, not a frozen price. The daily rate is confirmed in the same transparent way, so there are no surprise charges at the end of the week.
Say so on WhatsApp. You can adjust your quantity, pause, or skip a day — we would rather explain the day's rate than deliver something you did not agree to.
Not always. A low price often means added water, which leaves you with less actual milk and more uncertainty. Comparing the rate per litre of milk you can trust is the honest comparison.
